Madonna herself has appeared in a multitude of films throughout her career starting around the same time as her singing career took off. Some of her early notables are the cult hits Desperately Seeking Susan and Whos That Girl before appearing in the comicstrip adaptation of Dick Tracy with then boyfriend Warren Beatty. The singer followed that up with one of her most prominent roles that of Mae Mordabito in Penny Marshalls A League of Their Own which is soon to be a series on Prime Video. Her last notable bigscreen performance came in the form of Alan Parkers Evita which won Best Original Song at the 1997 Oscars.
Madonna has actually directed features before 2008s Filth and Wisdom and 2011s W.E. so its not surprising for her to be taking the reigns on her own life story. Of course the question of bias will come up but Madonna has made a career of being outspoken and controversial so its unlikely shell try to sugarcoat her own biopic. If anything having the singer actress at the helm will help shape it into something representative of who she was in those early decades as its said to lead up to her Blonde Ambition tour in the 90s and who better to shed some light on that than the person who lived it Whether or not Euphorias Demie is the right actress for the job will be up to Madonna but whoever she chooses it will no doubt be someone she has heavily vetted to embody her.
