The Walking Dead season 11 returns to screens soon, but when can fans expect new episodes of the long-running show?
The Walking Dead made a comeback to TV during the summer with eight brand new episodes when it launched its final season in typically undead fashion.
The long-running AMC zombie drama has been on the air for over a decade, but last year it was revealed that the show would be taking its final bow with an extended bumper-length final season consisting of a whopping 24 episodes.
All is not lost for fans of the franchise as the TWD Universe will continue to grow via its two ongoing spin-offs (one a full series, the other a two-season miniseries) and the two new spin-offs set to take it into the future.
Having recently returned, the show just aired its midseason finale and will now embark on a somewhat lengthy hiatus before it returns with the second part of its eleventh season. But when can fans expect the midseason premiere?
The Walking Dead season 11, episode 9 release date
The Walking Dead season 11 returns to AMC on Sunday, February 20, 2022. If you can’t wait that long, you’ll be happier to know that the midseason premiere will be available to stream on AMC+ the week before that, arriving on the streaming service on Sunday February 13.
The final season is going to be split into three installments, each consisting of eight episodes. The first of those has just wrapped its run, the second will premiere in February, and the third and final installment is being planned for sometime later in 2022.
