When Will ‘American Horror Story’ Season 11 Premiere on FX?

It’s been a season full of sharpened teeth, blood suckers, extraterrestrials, and exasperated presidents, but it’s all over. This week marks the final episode of American Horror Story: Double Feature, the 10th installment of FX’s mega-hit series. And as it comes to a close, fans only want the answer to one question: Will there be more?

On that front we have your back. Here’s everything we know about the future of American Horror Story Season 11, from possible themes to when it could premiere.

Will There Be an American Horror Story Season 11?

There certainly will be. In January of 2020, the horror anthology series was renewed for an additional three seasons. Because Season 10 was delayed due to COVID-19, that means we’ve only seen one of those upcoming three seasons. We know for a fact that American Horror Story will be airing new episodes through Season 12.

When Will American Horror Story Season 11 Premiere?

It’s too early to really know the answer to that. But we can always speculate based on the timelines of past seasons.

True to its spooky theme, new episodes of American Horror Story always premiere in either September or October. The only exception has been Double Feature, which premiered its first episode in late August so that its finale could be closer to Halloween. Typically, new seasons of AHS premiere every year. Once again, Double Feature was the exception to this rule. Season 10 was supposed to premiere in 2020 but was delayed due to COVID-19. That’s why it premiered this year, instead of last.

Based on this fairly consistent timeline and assuming there won’t be any more delays caused by a global pandemic, we can likely expect American Horror Story Season 11 to premiere in fall of 2022.

Who’s in the Cast of American Horror Story Season 11?

Paulson has been a prominent part of every season of American Horror Story, save for 1984. But during an interview on Watch What Happens Live, Paulson said, “It’s the first time in about three years where I don’t know. I think this is my last season of Horror Story, probably. I mean, I don’t know. Every time he comes to me with some whack-a-doodle-stoodle character I tend to be like, ‘Yes! Let’s do it!’ But I don’t know. This is the first time so, we’ll see.”

What Is American Horror Story Season 11 About?

Again, it’s too early to say. FX, Ryan Murphy, and Brad Falchuk like to keep the theme of their horror anthology a mystery for as long as possible. But this time around, we do have an idea about what Murphy may be considering.

In April of this year, Murphy polled fans about what they want to see in a future season. The final two options were between sirens and Bloody Mary. Murphy never revealed which one won, and he never confirmed that this poll would be the theme of next season. But we have our fingers crossed for Bloody Mary.
