Grey’s Anatomy season 18 is bringing back yet another old character in its next episode, following the return of Addison Montgomery, Ellis Grey, and Nick Marsh.
This time, it’s Dr Tom Koracick who will be offering his help to Ellen Pompeo’s Meredith Grey.
Following his first appearance back in season 14, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Greg Germann is set to reprise his role as Dr Koracick for at least one episode.
The brilliant-and-he-knows-it neurosurgeon was last seen in season 17, when Koracick decided to join Jesse Williams’ Dr Jackson Avery on his next adventure in Boston.
Fans shouldn’t expect to see Dr Koracick scrubbing up at Grey Sloan Memorial, though, as Germann’s character will meet Meredith and Amelia Shepherd in Minnesota, where they’re working on their study.
Speaking of comebacks, Addison Montgomery star Kate Walsh recently opened up about her own return to Grey’s Anatomy for the latest season, admitting that she found the experience “completely surreal”.

After heading back to Grey Sloan Memorial following her departure in 2012, Walsh said that filming as Addison was “so emotional”.
“I knew it would be odd but it was so emotional, and so big and yeah, beyond, because when’s the last time you’ve ever gone back to a job that you started 18 years ago that you left 10 years ago?” she said.
“You know what I’m saying? There’s no infrastructure. There’s no construct for it.”
