Call Me Kat, starring The Big Bang Theory’s Mayim Bialik, has confirmed when its second season will premiere on Fox.
The show, which Bialik produces alongside her former co-star Jim Parsons, will return on Sunday, January 9, 2022. More specifically, it will air at 8pm, and be followed by the series debut of new comedy Pivoting.
Inspired by British sitcom Miranda, which starred Miranda Hart, Lucifer’s Tom Ellis and Sarah Hadland, Call Me Kat sees the titular character quit her job as a University of Louisville lecturer and spend the money her parents had set aside for her wedding to open a cat café.
Through her success, she attempts to make her family see that she doesn’t need a man to lead a happy, fulfilling life.
Julian Gant (Real Steel), Swoosie Kurtz (Pushing Daisies), Kyla Pratt (Doctor Dolittle), Cheyenne Jackson (American Horror Story) and Leslie Jordan (Will & Grace) appeared opposite Bialik, and will be returning for the new episodes.

While The Big C’s Darlene Hunt acted as writer and showrunner initially, season two sees Mom’s Alissa Neubauer take the reins.
“We are excited to renew Call Me Kat and have Mayim, Cheyenne, Swoosie, Leslie, Kyla and Julian return for their second season. Together, they share a winning chemistry that we, and viewers, adore,” said Michael Thorn, President of Entertainment at Fox Entertainment, back in May.
“On behalf of everyone here at Fox, congratulations to this incredible cast and our terrific partners at Warner Bros on delivering this season’s No. 1 new comedy.”
