he Flight Attendant star Kaley Cuoco has shared more behind-the-scenes snaps from the dark comedy’s eagerly anticipated second season.
On Monday (October 11), the Big Bang Theory alum – who is currently filming new episodes in California – took to Instagram to post a series of black-and-white photos of herself with fellow actors Santiago Cabrera, Deniz Akdeniz, Zosia Mamet, and a couple with the production team, too.
“Another week in the can alongside my amazing cast and crew @flightattendantonmax ✈️ season 2 👩✈️ 🥂 💙,” Cuoco captioned the post.
Based on Chris Bohjalian’s 2018 novel, The Flight Attendant’s first season saw Cuoco play Cassie Bowden, a struggling air hostess who wakes up next to a dead body in a hotel in Bangkok – and due to the night prior being one of heavy-drinking, can’t recall what happened.
Once back in New York, Cassie is confronted by FBI agents who question her about her recent layover. Desperate to get to the bottom of it, Cassie pushes down her fears about what she might find out about herself, and sets out to uncover what really happened in the Thailand capital.
In the finale, it was revealed that Cassie’s colleague Shane (Griffin Matthews) is actually working undercover for the CIA, and that he’s investigating their supervisor Megan Briscoe (Birds of Prey’s Rosie Perez). He also told Cassie that the organisation are keen to get her on board as a human asset.
“She’s not a magical CIA agent,” Cuoco explained recently. “She’s trying to keep secrets and she’s terrible at it.
“She’s street smart and quirky, but it’s a small side gig next to her normal life, and she has to keep being reminded of that as well.”
