Supergirl: Kara Goes Toe-to-Toe With Andrea Rojas

Supergirl’s Kara Danvers is not seeing eye-to-eye as of late with her new boss, Andrea Rojas.

Ever since the second half of Supergirl’s final season debuted on The CW, it’s been clear that Andrea has a different vision for CatCo than Kara does. Seemingly obsessed with rising in news rankings, Andrea has pushed Kara and William to investigate more into the Super Friends in National City and amp up its sensationalist coverage to increase its readership. Ahead of Supergirl’s upcoming episode, “Hope for Tomorrow,” The CW shared an exclusive clip with CBR that shows Kara’s tensions with Andrea rising amidst a surprise Nyxly attack.

The CW clip opens with Kara receiving a compliment from a coworker about her recent article on Martian Manhunter. Andrea hears this and quickly dismisses Kara’s piece, going as far as to tell her that the Super Friends is William’s news territory and accuses her of being “caddy” for covering the same beat. If that wasn’t enough, Andrea disagrees with Kara’s insistence to cover “hopeful” stories as much as CatCo writes about tragedies.”The world isn’t good,” Andrea tells Kara — a statement that immediately upsets the Girl of Steel.

Before the two can dig deeper into their differing journalistic approaches, Nyxly arrives at the office readied to start trouble. Based on the below episode synopsis, it seems like William is the imp’s latest target to get under Supergirl’s skin. However, it remains unclear what exactly her plan with William is and how this will connect to her current totem quests — aside from the knowledge that William has exclusive access to the Super Friends. If the episode title is anything to go by, it’s hinted that Hope might be the next totem up for grabs.

The official synopsis for The CW’s Supergirl Season 6, Episode 15 reads,

NYXLY KIDNAPS WILLIAM — Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) continues to fight Nyxly (Peta Sergeant) for the remaining totems but after Nyxly kidnaps William (Staz Nair), Supergirl realizes she needs to take a more proactive stance to keep National City safe. Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) faces the biggest challenge of her life. The episode was directed by Tawnia McKiernan with story by Robert Rovner and teleplay by Emilio Ortega Aldrich & Nicki Holcomb
